BDH Active Shifter – Telemetry-supported force feedback H-pattern shifter for sim racing
The BDH Active Shifter sets new standards in sim racing. Unlike conventional H-pattern shifters, it generates its feedback not through springs or pre-programmed vibrations, but through a powerful servo motor that reacts in real time to the telemetry data of your simulation.
Thanks to native SimHub integration, you feel engine speed, load changes, clutch operations, and powertrain movements directly in your hand. The result is an exceptionally realistic shifting feel that dynamically adapts to every driving situation.
The Active Shifter is based on the proven mechanics of the BDH H1 "Bazooka", but has been completely redeveloped and equipped with state-of-the-art active force feedback technology.
Your advantages
- Real force feedback through powerful servo motor
- Telemetry-supported shifting feel via SimHub
- Realistic simulation of engine vibrations, clutch, and drivetrain
- Haptic intensity adjustable directly on the shifter
- 4- to 6-speed gate patterns switchable without software
- Completely made of aircraft-grade aluminum
- Flexible mounting to almost any aluminum profile rig
Force feedback you can truly feel
While conventional shifters always shift the same, the BDH Active Shifter constantly adapts to the vehicle's behavior.
Under high load, the shifter remains noticeably under tension, simulating the forces of a real gearbox. If a shift fails or the clutch is not operated correctly, the integrated servo motor immediately generates realistic haptic feedback.
This ensures an incomparably immersive driving experience and provides a shifting feel that is significantly superior to classic sim racing shifters.
Native SimHub Integration
The BDH Active Shifter uses the telemetry data from your simulation in real time.
Among others, the following vehicle states are processed:
- Engine speed
- Engine vibrations
- Clutch actuation
- Load changes
- Powertrain movements
- Shift knocks
Since control is carried out directly via SimHub, no additional plugins or complicated configurations are required.
Built for the highest demands
Like all BDH products, the Active Shifter impresses with uncompromising workmanship.
The housing is made entirely of high-quality aircraft-grade aluminum and is designed for maximum stability and a long service life.
The haptic intensity and the desired shift pattern can be adjusted directly on the device – without any software or tools.
Flexible mounting
The Active Shifter can be easily integrated into almost any sim racing setup.
Possible mounting options:
- Top
- Side
- Inverted
The integrated clamping system was specially developed for aluminum profile rigs, so no additional adapters or brackets are required.

Important notes
- SimHub is required for the active force feedback functions. The shifter is automatically recognized and configured by supported games.
- The Active Shifter exclusively supports the H-pattern shift pattern. A sequential mode is not available.
- Existing BDH H1, H2SQ or other models cannot be converted to the active system. The Active Shifter has completely newly developed mechanics.
Who is the BDH Active Shifter suitable for?
The BDH Active Shifter is aimed at sim racers who want to experience the most realistic shifting feel possible. Thanks to the telemetry-supported force feedback, it conveys load changes, clutch operations and gearbox reactions as authentically as hardly any other sim racing shifter.
If you want to expand your cockpit with one of the most innovative force feedback H-pattern shifters on the market, the BDH Active Shifter is the perfect choice.
