Battery regulation
In connection with the sale of batteries (i.e. sources of electrical energy consisting of one or more non-rechargeable primary cells or rechargeable secondary cells that are obtained by direct conversion of chemical energy, cf. Section 2 Para. 2 of the Battery Act), or devices that are operated with batteries, we as a distributor are obliged under Section 18 of the Battery Act to inform about the relevant regulations and obligations:
You are obliged to dispose of used batteries separately from unsorted municipal waste. This means that you must hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. Disposal in normal household waste is prohibited and violates the Battery Act. Batteries, including those in devices, can be returned to us free of charge after use or sent back with sufficient postage. Our obligation to take back is limited to used batteries that we have or have had in our range as new batteries, as well as to the quantity that end users usually dispose of. Questions or returns of batteries should be addressed to:
Our email address is: support@germansimracing.de
Batteries that contain harmful substances are clearly marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can. The chemical name of the relevant harmful substances is also shown under the symbol of the crossed-out garbage can. Examples of these are: (Pb) lead, (Cd) cadmium, (Hg) mercury. You can also read this information again in the documents accompanying the delivery of goods or in the operating instructions of the respective manufacturer. Further detailed information on the Battery Ordinance is available from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, for example at http://www.bmu.de/abfallwirtschaft
