Simrig SBM Belt Tensioner

The SIMRIG Belt Module (SBM) is a complete active belt tensioner and comes with everything you need to integrate it into your sim racing cockpit.

Feel braking, acceleration, cornering, curbs, and gear shifts directly through the strap - and thanks to the independent channels, even experience the direction from which the forces act.

Feel force and direction

A single strap channel can convey the strength of a force. With two independent channels, the SBM can also represent its direction.

The SBM features independent control of the left and right shoulder straps. Vehicle forces are transmitted through the harness, enabling left/right cornering feedback and asymmetric effects - for example, when you drive over a curb with the left wheel.

Linear actuator for precise force transmission

A linear actuator operates linearly - the force generated is therefore independent of strap length or leverage.

The SBM uses a linear actuator to produce smooth, consistent motion across the entire range of travel. There is no strap that can wrap around or get tangled in a pulley, and no nonlinear lever effects to account for in the calculations.

The force comes from the right direction

To ensure the generated force reaches your body as directly and realistically as possible, the SBM features a height-adjustable upper strap guide with two rollers. The rollers are integrated directly into the SBM.

You route the shoulder straps through the seat openings at shoulder height, reducing friction at the strap openings and redirecting the downward pulling force into a backward-acting force.
